[Culpable]

Fuck this piece is intense, something about the composition and the photo background has really struck a nerve with me. Even the edge of the glass of the shower separating the scene from slightly cooler/warmer colors is just a really nice touch.

I remember first seeing your work months ago and hating it honestly, like I had never been too big a fan of more realistic gore stuff because it just made me feel too icky but like there's so much more going on in this piece than "deppresed guy cuts himself" and it's really fascinating. Really great work.

It's expected and understandable that many will feel repelled by the subject matter of my work, but I'm very thankful you allowed it a second chance for this one. I always endeavor to convey something more personal and nuanced than shock value alone.
The background was based on a photo I took while staying at an old boutique hotel, it evoked such an eerie, vulnerable sensation.
